Karima A. Burns

Background:

Karima Burns was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. She attended high school in the Sunset District at Saint Ignatius College Preparatory. Upon graduation from high school, she attended the University of California at Davis (UC Davis) where she was accepted into the Biological Undergraduate Scholars Program. She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She continued her higher education by attending Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, she served as a Student Advocate for Legal Services of New Jersey where she assisted indigent clients with their employment law claims from intake to adjudication. She also served as a Research Assistant for Dean Kathleen Boozang of her law school where she performed extensive legal research for an article on charitable trusts.
